BFG Book Study COMPLETE

We finished another book study!!
The super engaging story of BFG was a hit and gave us a tremendous read to follow! You will see the students comprehension book on this coming home on Friday.

Due to our class finishing the BFG we would like to watch the movie as a connection! We watched the trailer in class, to test interest, and the whole class gained a whole lot more excitement!
Wednesday, May 1 we are watching The BFG
If you would like your child to opt out of this video, please email me to let me know. I have alternative activities for students to do if so.
Since this is a movie day, I am also allowing students to wear PJ's to school, bring a blanket,  AND bring a sweet/salty snack for the show.

Mrs. Krissie in our library has worked hard to train & go through all the necessary steps to bring Wilbur, our new therapy dog, to Westwoods!! 
There is an attached letter below from Mrs. Krissie!

Team McNitt Basket Theme: Growing Green! All things green, from plants to blanket to books to toys to décor to supplies & more. Whatever you can find that is green and will show off our theme!

All donated items DUE: Friday, May 10. 

ALL current Westwoods students will receive FIVE FREE tickets to use at Carnival!
Additional tickets will be available for purchase the week of the carnival and during the carnival.

5th grade is hosting a used book sale in celebration of Earth Day and as a bonus fundraiser for LOC. 

Get your "gently" used books in during the week of April 15-19 
Students can bring them to our classroom and I will deliver all to our fifth grade classrooms.
If a child brings 10 books (or more) they will receive a free book coupon!!

Book sale is April 22-26
All books priced $1-$2!
