- How to share the fundraising details with family and friends (help us raise $25,000) You can start fundraising as soon as you register to get a head start!

- Bingo Boards - Single Bingo and Full Board Bingo Prizes! (Boards to be completed and returned to their teacher by March 14)

This fundraiser is one of two major fundraisers organized by the WW PTO. Funds raised by the PTO are used to enrich the students of WW school and to enhance the efforts of the staff.

Fun Friday

A fun reward for a few BUSY weeks!
We have been talking all things LEGO recently, and will continue into Friday.
In addition to all the activities, stories & learning, we are adding the opportunity to bring in our OWN LEGOS! Students may bring in any LEGOS from home. We have a chunk of time where the students can build with LEGOS & watch the LEGO movie throughout Friday.
(If you would like your child to not watch the LEGO movie please let me know)
Please have all LEGO bags or boxes labeled with your child's name for a safe return

Introducing Peace Kids! Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Groups  What is an SEL group?  SEL groups provide students with opportunities to make new friends and enhance social/emotional skills through creative, meaningful activities. Peace Kids groups are developed and facilitated by Kristin Sulecki, LMSW, a retired TCAPS social worker. Although peace kids groups utilize research based approaches, they are not psychotherapy or counseling. Valentines Day

Friday, February 14th

If your child would like to participate, please make sure they have a Valentine for each of the 25 students in our classroom. Please address all Valentines at home before bringing them to school.

Report Cards

 Report cards went home Friday, Feb. 7

Please take a moment to look over this with your child.

Any questions or concerns please let me know.

I also look forward to discussing your child's growth at conferences coming in March.

PTO Feb Events

Tuesday, February 11th: PTO meeting 6:30pm-7:30pm

In the Westwoods Library. Free childcare is provided!

Thursday, February 20th: Book Club 6:30 pm-7:30pm

In the Westwoods Library. This month's book is "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir.

Wednesday, February 26th: Parent Enrichment Night 6:30pm-7:30pm

Mr. Lesinski will help parents learn more about mindfulness for their kids!

 

Wednesday: Global Day of Play

Students are allowed to bring play items from home to help with creative play for the day. No technology please.
These items could include games, coloring sets, puzzles, bracelet making kits, Legos, and trading cards.
Only one or two items can be brought in. Please make sure names are on all items.
Play day will be interrupted for any student behavior that can not handle a setting like this OR if there is work that should have been completed ahead of time.

Valentines Exchange

 
Friday, February 14th

We will be exchanging Valentines in class on the 14th. If your child would like to participate, please make sure they have a Valentine for each of the 25 students in our classroom. Please address all Valentines at home before bringing them to school.

Candy Gram Sale - Valentine's Day

A Fundraiser to help our 5th graders attend the Leelanau Outdoor Center.

$1 for every candy gram
All candy Grams will be delivered Wednesday, Feb. 14

On Valentine's Day, the recipient of each candy gram will receive a sucker with a personalized note attached.
