Friday was the last day of our schoolwide Read A Thon!! We ended the week with many ways to read and have fun! Don't forget to keep up on the READO Board! Those are due on April 9!

Read-A-Thon 2021

This is the last week of the read-a-thon!

Please encourage your child to read daily and to keep track of their reading minutes! Students have time at the end of the school day to record their reading minutes. Our class is working hard to be the top reading class in PK-2. If we reach that goal we win a pizza party! Thanks for the support many of you have offered through donations to the read-a-thon. These funds are used school-wide to support various learning initiatives.
We have three more days left to read and fundraise! 

FRIDAY
Bear Necessities - Cozy Clothes/Pajama Day!
In addition to being snug, I am allowing students to bring blankets and flashlights to read in the dark and built a small fort Friday morning. This is something we will discuss Wednesday together. Please make sure all blankets and flashlights are in a bag. These will only come out in the morning for a chunk of time. Thanks!

READO

A new, at home, incentive is coming your way! Students are excited for this, in addition to Whooo's Reading. Anything students do for READO is definitely logable for Whooo's Reading. Please make sure you go over the green top sheet to understand the expectations of your child. Please also make sure you initial any box your child completes to receive square towards a READO.

READO is due April 9th!

Please encourage reading and fundraising as much as possible at home!

Students received their login information today. You should see this coming home.
If your child cannot access the “Whooo’s Reading” website from home, please ask your child to record any time spent reading in the evening on a peice of paper. They can log the time on the “Whooo’s Reading” website when they get to school the next day. 
HONESTY
I stressed today that it is important to be honest about the time they log and that they write appropriate and positive comments when commenting on the website. 
SPIRIT FRIDAYS

Students can participate in Spirit Days each Friday, which are based around movies. 
Friday, March 5th - wear camo or animal prints (Tarzan)
Friday, March 12th - wear bright colors (Rio)
Friday, March 19th - wear PJ’s/comfy clothes (Jungle Book -- BEAR necessities)
