In connection with our plant unit, we had a Scholastic for the month of April that focused on how to make maple syrup from maple trees. We had a lot of fun not only reading about how the process works, but also watching videos, hearing of personal experiences, and doing a few activities to connect learning.

THEN...thank you to the Stowe family...we were able to taste it!! So many senses were used and so many opinions and thoughts were pulled out of this exercise. All good! Maple syrup was a hit! Only compaint was I didn't have pancakes for the kids to pair their treat.
