Every Wednesday during recess! Volunteers get to help assist students in trading and admiring one another's Pokemon cards! This has totally eliminated any class time disturbance and has instead given so many students another exciting addition to their week!
Book Clubs Link
Every Tuesday and Friday we invite you in to help with our book clubs! This has been a huge help to myself and students, to have an extra adult help with leveled academics.

Report Cards

 Report cards went home Friday, Feb. 3
Please take a moment to look over these with your child. There are other pages of information also included in their envelope to update you on your childs success in school.
Any questions or concerns please let me know.
I also look forward to discussing your childs growth at conferences coming the end of February and beginning of March.
Please have all students return their report card envelope empty by next Monday or Tuesday.
They will get a bonus clip up if they do!

Book Study: BFG

 This week we started a BOOK STUDY in class!
The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)
Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. Their friendship grows. After traveling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Victoria to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.

When we are finished reading all students will be bringing these books home to add to their classroom libraries or even pass on to make a great read for someone else!

Play ALL Day!

We had an AWESOME day of play! It went fast, and we all agreed that we need to do that again! To watch all students interact with one another, switch who they are playing with, enjoy the day, with belly laughs and smiles...was a really good day! Everyone needs just a day to set the serious stuff aside and have fun to enjoy one another and PLAY!
