Our FINAL book study has come to a close!

We have finished Wonder!
Such a fantastic story, theme and lesson for all kids to hear. 

Due to the conclusion of our story, we are watching the video Wonder on Monday (June 3).

Cardboard Challenge

We joined the 3rd Grade Cardboard Challenge!
Fun to play all the awesome arcade games they planned and created! Also inspiring to see all the ideas that second graders this year will be doing next year! Something to look forward to!!

A poem labeled The Rainbow we read as a class today. Each group was assigned their own stanza to read in choral as we made it through the entire poem. It was too wonderful not to video!

Our reward for the Read A Thon was a hit!!
The traveling museum that came to Westwoods was such a fun experience for all with such a variety of bugs, insects, dino prints, rocks, water creatures, and more to see.

Tuesday is Rainbow Day!!

Tuesday is R for Rainbow Day!
We picked our colors to wear to school that day! It was not as easy as you would think. Ha!
The names and colors are below just in case someone forgot OR might have been absent.
Tuesday we will be one big rainbow, while doing other fun rainbow activities!
RED - Adam, Jalen, Bronwyn, Parker
ORANGE - Evelyn, River, Winnie, Mick
GREEN - Carter, Grady, Jack, Logan, Bryson

Splashing Into Summer!

During PE Class: Water Activities

Students will need to bring the following items to school on this day:

*Swimsuit

Students may opt to wear their suit to school but must have shorts/pants and a shirt to wear over the swimsuit during school hours.

*Water shoes, Crocs, Flip Flops or some type of shoe to get wet

*Change of clean & dry clothing

*Towel

Visit The City Opera House Scavenger hunt downtown - Making stops at the Visitor Center, Post Office, M22, and many more businesses. Goods & Services Our wonderful PTO has generously donated $10 per student!! With that, ALL students will...
* Purchase a boxed lunch from Grand Traverse Pie Company
(GT Pie Co. has generously given us a low cost of $2 per boxed lunch) * Donating $1 to the City Opera House
* Which leaves the remainder to spend at our local shops purchasing a good/service!
