LA + Math

We integrated a combination of math and language arts into a really fun activity!
While getting to know more about our shapes and using pattern blocks, students had a task to build a castle that would be fit for a king...or a beast. In our first CKLA Knowledge strand, one of our fairy tale stories was Beauty and the Beast. After using the appropriate amount of pattern blocks, students then drew their castle and also organized their pattern blocks to see how many of each they used.
Their description of their castles were all very unique and creative!

Reminder

Please check with your child on the status of their headphones at school. These are necessary.
We use headphones daily for academic learning on our computers, and sometimes as noise cancellations.
Please let me know if your child needs any assistance with this.
Thank you!

Fun First Week!

What a GREAT first week of school we had!
Even with a lot of routine talk, reminders and expectations, we were all smiles and knew how to add in the fun!

Classroom Communicator

Students brought home a home to school communicator. These go back and forth from home to school and school to home each day. Please help your child to build a routine to ensure their communicator gets emptied each night and returned to school each morning.
Thank you for your help and support!
