Last week, a chunk of our learning was geared towards understanding characters and using adjectives. So we put the two together, adding a bit of prior knowledge with traits and synonyms, then used ourselves as a fun and fantastic idea! We split ourselves in two. If we were a character in a story, without exaggeration or goofiness, how would we understand ourselves as a character.
Ask your child to describe the process to you. One side is how they see themselves on the outside (physical traits) and the other side is how they see themselves on the inside (personality traits). We ALWAYS say honesty is best! I even did one with the students...harder said than done!
