Great Summer Read Aloud

A boy and his grandfather discuss the meaning of the Golden Rule, its universality, and ways to practice it. The book points out that many religions and cultures have their own variations, and he quotes six examples. The boy wonders what the world would be like if more people practiced the Rule, and Grandfather explains that "It begins with you."

Z is for Zoom Off

We had such a FUN year!! Thank you to all of you for your continued support and communication over the past year. It was one to remember, and a little different than a regular school year, but we made it through! Your children did an amazing job coping with the limitations. They worked hard, showed growth, and are better humans as they walk into summer break! They deserve to have the best summer ever! Congrats to all my second graders as they are now third graders! Hard to say good bye, but I will each and everyone the best of luck!

Thanks again and have a wonderful break!!!

U is for USA

Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter made a landing at Westwoods Elementary!! So many excited kids!

US Airman Jacob McFulda answered our questions all the way from Kuwait!

Tuesday we were invited to participate in 3rd grades cardboard challenge! All arcade games were thought of and created by students! Our job was to have fun and play each of the games! Way to go 3rd grade! They gave all 2nd graders another thing to look forward to!
