(First of a Couple) Last Week Updates

Field Trip

This Monday, all of second grade is going on their end of the year field trip to Camp Lake Ann! We are leaving school at 9:30 and will return back to school around 2:30. Which means our time at camp will be from 10-2. I have a list of parent so far, if you would still like to join us and have not let me know please e-mail me by Monday. All parents joining are welcome to come to school and follow the bus, or meet at Camp Lake Ann. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you!

Reminders for that morning:

Bring a cold lunch (preferably in a paper sack)

Closed toe tennis shoes - NO sandals

Sunblock/bug spray application at home (optional)

Hats (optional)

Approaching the end!

We have three and a half days left of school!!

Last Friday you noticed students had a backpack full of goodies to come home.

Math workbooks: These can stay at home for summer work. There are many pages in there they can complete as foundational work for the summer. This will keep their minds stimulated and also fresh with math concepts ready to enter third grade.

CKLA unit 5: There are practice pages in the back, with some extra review pages in the front. This is also summer work to add to Units 1-4 that have already been sent home. Unit 6 is our final unit, however, we are not quite done with this workbook yet. Yes, we will finish just a couple more pages next week and then send this home for summer.

Math binders, reading folders, some math review notebooks (others are note quite done yet), and fluency folders were also sent home. Before these are possibly recycled, please look through, especially the math review and fluency folders, to see all the hard work your child has done this year. Applaud their efforts and let them tell you about the different content in math and reading that they learned and understood over their year in second grade!

More is coming home next week! Please remind your child to empty their backpacks for Monday, ready to bring home different items throughout their last week.

Please return all library books to the office or your classroom teacher

Please check the lost and found for any items your child might have misplaced
