Keeping a Healthy Body

This week we had a special guest visitor! Mrs. McCain was in to teach us more about nutrition and different ways to keep our bodies healthy. She refreshed our memories on the digestive system, what healthy foods and drinks to put in our bodies, and also the cons of eating unhealthy foods.
Not only did we have a great discussion, with questions and answers, but Mrs. McCain also demonstrated how to steam broccoli and make it taste good at the same time. I will say the recipe she used was hit, and seconds were requested! The recipe for this came home...they are excited to help with cooking the next healthy dinner :)




In the end students were able to design their own healthy plate of food with the different food groups!
