Students learned about Indigenous People Day today!
We talked about different Indigenous communities in our region, and all over North America. Moccasins were a part of their tradition, and something special to celebrations. Students loved talking about their own special clothing, traditions they have, and celebrations with their families.

After reading Rock Your Mocks, students were able to design their own moccasins with significant items, colors, and designs. It was really interesting to see the variety of significant items on their moccasins!

CKLA - Ancient Greece

Students have begun to explore the civilization of ancient Greece, and see the ways in which parts of that world are present in our world—in language, government, art, architecture, the Olympics, and more.
Students learn about the city-states of Sparta and Athens, the emergence of democracy, gods and goddesses of ancient Greece. and the philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.
