So many creative balloons & a fantastic band!!

7 Habits of Happy Kids

Westwoods has been focusing on The Seven Habits of Happy Kids for the past few years. This year we are continuing to focus on these habits in order to promote leadership, kindness and resiliency with our students. Coming home is a guide for families with the characteristics of each habit. We use these daily in our classroom and around the building. We encourage you to to talk about these with your child and ask them how they demonstrate each habit at school and at home. We believe that promoting leadership and learning these habits can have a positive impact on our students beyond the classroom.

 

Lunch This Week

 

Monday: Cook’s surprise entree or Mozzarella breadsticks

Tuesday: Chicken and/or cheese quesadilla or Sunbutter & jelly sandwich

Wednesday-Friday: No School

*Salad bar is also available as an option every day

Special Assembly!

Kyle, from The Studo Inc. in Traverse City, lead our very special assembly on Friday!
We earned this assembly due to being one of the top raising Move A Thon classrooms at Westwoods!!
WE HAD A BLAST!!!
Thank you to all that rasied funds!
This was well deserved by all classrooms involved!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has come into our classroom to help with book clubs! So far it has been a wonderful experience and hugely helpful to our learning!
Spots are available on Tuesdays & Fridays

Here Comes the Snow

 
Snow is coming and temperatures are changing...as always!
Please make sure your child is wearing, and bringing, the appropriate clothing and accessories to school to keep warm.
We go outside twice a day. 

Lunch This Week

 
Monday: Hot dog or Cheese calzone

Tuesday: Walking taco or Sunbutter & jelly sandwich

Wednesday: Ham & cheese sub or Macaroni & cheese

Thursday: THANKSGIVING DINNER - Roast turkey & mashed potatoes,
or Sunbutter & jelly sandwich

Friday: Pepperoni or cheese pizza or Caesar salad
