This morning we had swimmer safety lessons from the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Marine Division of the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department, and the Grand Traverse Bay Sail and Power Squadron. They had a great discussion with our classroom on how to stay safe while swimming, boating or just being around the open waters.
This was a great opportunity to provide water safety education to our students as the lakes warm up and beaches open for swimming.
Ask your child about what they learned today by continuing the conversation at home!
