We are all Unique

Over the last couple weeks we have not only been learning about MLK, but also learning about what he stood up for and understanding we are all unique and that is okay.
We have off and on done different activities that connect our learning based on his beliefs. From Scholastic Articles, to printables, to video clips, to inferring, to copying our arms and making it our own and unique for all to see, to then creating a book!
We had fun with it and learned a lot about, biographies, segregation, MLK and why he is an influential part of our history, and how to be our own hero.

We each made a book of our own: A Hero in Me! For four days we focused on a topic, discussing how we have been hero's in our own lives. Each topic has a page.
When was a time you were peaceful?
When have you been brave before?
When have you worked with others?
When was a time that did not give up?

These will be coming home during your scheduled conference time.
