Teach the Class

*More detail was sent to you in an e-mail on Sunday as well*
Teach the Class!
Students can choose a topic that is important and interesting to them and design a 5 minute lesson to teach the class. It can be about themselves, their heritage, a hobby, language, skill, or anything else of their choosing. They can teach how to draw something specific, karate, cooking, singing/teach us a song, origami and more! There really is a lot of critical thinking involved in planning a lesson.
Students will plan step by step of how they will present the material and then have someone video the final take.
Please note that this is completely voluntary and no students’ needs to do this.
*We will be presenting on Monday and Fridays during our class meetings

A response poem tells about something the writer has read. It may include opinion, or how you feel, about characters in the story.
Remember to elaborate using your senses.
Assignment: pick a story from our Journeys book that we have read together. Write a response poem from the story.
Below I have a couple examples. The first one is from The Goat in the Rug and the second one is from Groundhogs New Home (leveled reader)
