Snowflakes & Buddies

We added a little extra holiday fun to our reading buddies today. Students not only read to one another, but were able to build a snowflake using their names and other words. Fourth and second grade students worked together to help one another spell, write, and cut out a variety of snowflakes. Look for these coming home today!

Reading Buddies

Our bundle of stuffed animals were a friendly addition to our classroom today! Students loved cuddling with their select toys while they read, played games for our celebration and hovered over their work throughout the day. 

Holiday Celebration!

Today we celebrated the holidays! Students mingled around the room trying out different games with different peers. Everyone was full of smiles, snacking on cookies, and listening to holidays tunes, while exercising flexible thinking within different games and activities!

Santa's Stuck!

Santa's Stuck! The students have been trying to figure out ways to get Santa out of the chimney! If Santa were stuck how creative would you be? The ideas were something to give to Santa just in case :) Some scenarios included ingredients like butter and oil, others found tools, and some enlisted other friends to come and add their muscle to the task. All were done keeping Santa's safety in mind...where Santa was released from the chimney in time to finish his journey on Christmas Eve.
All projects were very creative and had their own spin of uniqueness on them! Look for these coming home on Tuesday!
