Thursday, the students brought home a story they have been reading in class called The Ham. It is a story from their reader The Cat Bandit. Please have your child read the story to themselves and also to someone at home. Talking about the story for comprehension will be a good check to see how well your child understands the text.
Students are also to complete the Tricky Words page connected to the story The Ham. Words in the word bank are tricky words that we have addressed in the classroom. Students should be able to tell you tricky words have spellings and sounds that don't follow the ordinary rules. These are words that just need to be memorized.
