McNitt Updates

Homework
A new homework packet is coming home today. Students are continuing to do a fantastic job organizing their time to get their schoolwork and reading done! Very proud of them!
This week students will have a word ladder that is similar to the "chaining"we do within our language arts (CKLA).
They will also have a math page reviewing place value and comparing numbers (greater than and less than).
Please make sure your child is finding time to read or be read to each night.
Thank you for your continued help and support!
You will see a new set of spelling words coming home. We reviewed all words today and noticed the suffix -ing that we worked with last week. Students were able to point out different root words that changed (double consonant) and root words that stay the same when adding a suffix. Using that knowledge will help students with their spelling list this week. Students will also see their spelling words in the different Cat Bandit stories and other phonics activities and writing assignments this week. Please help your child remember to practice their words at home, in the car, at sporting events, etc. Thank you!
