Students rocked chapter one!! They did an awesome job throughout the lessons, with different activities, involving themselves in peer and group work, and especially with whole group discussion. Their efforts showed through with my informal observations and even on their formal chapter one tests. We are ready to move on!
Within chapter two, students will be
Use the base-ten blocks to add numbers with & without regrouping
Adding three digit numbers up to 1,000 with & without regrouping
Use mental math to add and subtract
Solve real-world addition problems
