This morning we had Mr. Hardy, from the TCAPS School Board, visit our classroom. He read the story The Legend of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. It tied into our unit of folktales, fables and other stories. The students were able to have a nice conversation with Mr. Hardy making connections to the our local Sand Dunes and expressing their understanding of legends.
It was a nice addition to our morning!
