Wrapping It Up!

Our classroom is wrapping up informational texts in writing! We are continuing to edit a rough draft of choice. Students select a piece they have completed in their writers notebook to edit and turn into a final draft. 

Today we finished our second, and final, round of peer editing. Students were buddied up twice to give partners feedback on their writing. All advice was to be thoughtful and purposeful feedback that authors can use in their writing. 

Throughout the rest of the week, students will taking notes from their peers and applying to different areas of their work, if necessary and acceptable. They will also be using their goal pages to check off all expectations that need to be included in their writing. I will also be their last edit, giving feedback, before beginning their final draft.
